Claiming tax back in DLP

Hello all!!

So in my last blog about our trip to DLP, I mentioned about claiming our tax back, so today I'm going to tell you how you can do this.

So, first of all, what are the criteria for making a claim?

1. You must have spent over 100 euros. This can be in one transaction or many. This can be purchases by cash or card.

2. You MUST have the itemised receipts

3. You can only claim for merchandise, NOT food items . So yes to an autograph book, no to one of the huge Disney lollies.

4. You have to make a claim every 3rd day before 11pm. For example, you arrive on a Monday, you would have to make a claim by 11pm on Wednesday. If you're there for longer, then your next claim would have to be before Friday at 11pm

Where can I make the claim?

1. In City Hall in the main park

2. In the Disney Fashion shop in Village

Just go to a cast member and say you would like to claim your tax back.

What do I need with me to make the claim?

1. ALL your itemised receipts

2. Your passport

3. The card you would like the claim to be refunded onto

Once you have taken all the above to either City Hall or the Disney Fashion shop, you will be given an envelope with all your receipts in and a form with a QR code. KEEP THIS SAFE!

If you are there for longer than 3 days you may have multiples of these.

When you are travelling home you will need these QR codes to complete the refund.

It doesn't matter how you are travelling home to the UK, you NEED to scan these at one of the self service machines in the airport, Eurostar station, Eurotunnel or ferry terminal. These machines are signed posted as TAX REFUND. Follow the on screen instructions, and then keep your paper work for if there are any problems

Once you have scanned all your QR codes you are done! Then just wait for the cash to be returned to you.
